Natalie Lok Yee Tong

As a recent Master of Environmental Studies in Planning graduate from the University of Waterloo, Natalie has over four years of experience in research, policy analysis, sustainability program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and across public, non-profit, and educational sectors.

Currently working as a Program Coordinator at Springbay Studio, Natalie maintains partner relationships, creates outreach strategies and strategic plan her organization, which develops sustainability-focused, game-based learning programs for young audiences. With a passion in equity planning and climate mitigation, Natalie is also currently volunteering with the Mentorship Initiative for Indigenous and Planners of Colour (MIIPOC) and the Sustainable Waterloo Region.

With an academic and professional background on climate change policy evaluation and sustainable city planning, Natalie joins the CCPC hoping to increase public awareness on biodiversity loss, climate emergency, and a willingness to change. With all that aside, Natalie enjoys starting her morning with coffee and journal as the sun rises!
