Renée Erdman

Based on the rugged coastlines of Vancouver Island, my photography is dedicated to documenting the raw beauty and complex lives of the species that call this ecosystem home. My work focuses on the intersection of visual storytelling and conservation, aiming to foster a deeper connection between the viewer and the natural world.

From the dense temperate rain forests to the surrounding Salish Sea, I capture the unique biodiversity of the Pacific Northwest. I believe that photography serves as a powerful tool for advocacy, highlighting the importance of habitat protection and the delicate balance of our local environment.

As a member of the Canadian Community Photographers Collective, I am committed to ethical field practices and collaborating with others to celebrate the wild spirit of British Columbia.
