Laura Pankiw

Laura Pankiw is the Engagement Coordinator with the Canadian Conservation Photographers Collective (CCPC). She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Environment and Sustainability at the University of Western Ontario, building on her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Laura began her conservation career in the field, working with stewardship organizations in Canada, Costa Rica, and New Zealand on projects ranging from species monitoring and ecological surveys to habitat restoration and pest management. She has since transitioned her focus to education and engagement, serving as a Wildlife Ambassador with the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley and leading community-based conservation initiatives.

Driven by a deep passion to protect the natural environment and the species that depend on it, Laura believes that educational outreach and community engagement are essential for collaborative conservation and knowledge sharing. Through her role with CCPC, she is excited to use her skills and experience to help grow the organization’s reach and impact.
